Good color for water based paint.

Good paint for water based paint. It doesn't work as a two part epoxy but works well in low traffic areas. I let it dry for a month before driving my car on it, and only then with carpets under the wheels. If you have bare concrete that has never been painted, use a two-part epoxy. This paint also scratches easily.

  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Works well with interior and exterior paint

Kilz 1 part epoxy: I used this over existing concrete in my basement. I've used an acid wash before but I didn't scrape off the old paint even though most of it was gone. There are many bumps and bumps in the concrete on my floor. I used a special epoxy roller head on the paint roller and a sponge brush for the edges and smoothing out the imperfections before roller painting. Also used two very thin coats as suggested. It didn't look very good after the first coat, but it turned out very nice…

Good choice for your garage floor!

Pictured is my garage floor after cleaning/etching and painting. My floor is a 2 car garage - about 400 square feet. 1 gallon of paint covered everything and left me enough to touch up if ever needed. As with most paint jobs, preparation (washing, staining, edge banding) takes time. To prevent wash water from pooling during pickling, I used a leaf blower instead of the recommended squeegee. It worked great! Painting took about an hour. Resist the temptation to walk around on it for a few days…

But I'll tell you more in a year.

Second painting of the garage floor. The first time I did all the prep work that every manufacturer insists on. Unfortunately I used cheap paint and it only lasted a couple of years at most. This time I did NO prep work other than sweeping the garage. There was a small spot where oil was dripping and I cleaned that spot. I painted the floor and within 3 hours I had everything in my garage. I waited 6 hours to drive the car, knowing that I have to wait 48 hours. The paint holds up well and the…

Good material - house color inside and out

Was a bit suspicious but wanted to give the product a chance. Started using it as a border and was overly conservative with the application. I didn't notice until I let it dry. I was a little more generous with the roller and it turned out very well. It says two coats but I have to tell you that one coat looks great but I'm going to put on a second coat. I didn't pay enough attention to a few areas and didn't realize it was still wet. After the work was completed, it became clear where the…

looks ok Not shiny. Began to peel off after the first stop.

Looking good. Next steps: - New garage floor - Rinse with water, let dry overnight - Rinse with hydrochloric acid + water to etch the floor (using hydrochloric acid manufacturer's recommended mix ratio) - Etched floor looks nice. Leave to dry for 2 ½ days. I started painting with a roller. Applied well, making sure it was a very thin coat as recommended. I waited a day and applied a second coat. The opacity of the second layer was slightly better. Be sure to apply a very thorough coat as…
