I was surprised when the shoes arrived that they had no tongue. I have a fairly high instep and wide foot, so getting my foot into the shoe was very strenuous. As soon as I put it on, it turned out that the shoe was too tight in several places. The width of the tie box and the manhole were the main culprits.

They are very light and good looking, but they are made of very thin and fragile material. They cannot be put on and taken off, so you have to untie and retie them each time. The tongue is poorly designed and flimsy, often slipping or twisting, requiring you to detach and reattach to fix. I would avoid it. They're not worth the trouble.

We ordered a pair of these. I usually wear somewhere between a 9.5 and 10 so I ordered 10. They were too small so reordered 10.5. Unfortunately the pair they sent us had a large chunk of mud (I hope it was just mud) on the sole of the shoe and one of the two heel straps had completely ripped off. So they took this pair back, didn't even look at it and sent it to us. Obviously they're coming back.
