The claw works: Attachments

There are no complaints about the claw. If only I could find a mic clip that would hold the mic securely to the conga my setup would be solid.

Pros
  • glitters
Cons
  • It's hard to remember, but it was

Works perfectly. highlighted.

This is a really strong claw and now I have 3. They stay on and never fall off during a performance. I strap myself to a steel wire that runs from the rim to a wooden anchor. Some claws will bite into the rim itself, but as there are different types of rims this can be a problem.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Good but not great

This claw works for the conga.

The claw fits the conga, but it also depends on the rim size, some congas work better than others. One thing you can do is use some moveable tape to add strength to the back of the clip claw. I like it as a replacement for my regular mic stand, I'll probably buy another one.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • boring packaging

Probably fits what you need

For the most part this is a great product, does what I need (keeps the antenna for the wireless transmitter in my ear). Unfortunately, after two weeks, the rubber seal on the inside of the clamp begins to peel off. That being said, my use case is probably a bit more complex than usual as I am attaching it to a flat edged travel case rather than a drum which has the profile/shape it was designed for. I bet this probably won't be a problem if you stick with it, but something to be aware of.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Holds heavy mics that won't fit other mounts

I have a set of vintage Audio-Technica side-addressing condenser mics that I really like on toms, but they're too heavy and side-mounted for any type of drum mount "Swan Neck". The LP Claw holds my mics right where I put them with no noticeable wobble. This new LP claw also solved all the problems I found with the old ones - it's smaller and lighter and has rubber pads on the clamp so it doesn't scratch my tires. The new Z-arm is aluminum, so it's flexible enough that you can bend it a little…

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Annoying
