Since I bought this beautiful lamp it has not always lit when the switch was on. Other times, the lights would go out and come back on an hour or two later. I tried three different bulbs, so I know the problem isn't with the blown bulb. I also tried it in two different houses. Something in the control mechanism has to overheat for it to shut down.
