This lot: One nice piece Light Brown leather, approximately 17 to 18 inches long by 10 inches wide, about 1 1/4 Square Feet. Weight 4/5 oz; thickness just under 1/8". Medium Weight Boot Leather, Domestically Tanned, Made in the USA for the US Army. Matt (not shiny) finish; buffed smooth one side, slightly sueded on the other, with nice natural markings and character. Color: Desert Sand, fine shade of light brown. Turned out to be a good piece of leather

Turned out to be a good piece of leather, very natural looking, not too thick and not too thin. This worked great for some small leather goods I wanted to make. I managed to make a small pouch and sheath for my carving knife using only half the leather.

Completely Brown

Let me start by saying that this is not quite what I thought. It may be more down to me than them as I'm new to leatherworking and not very familiar with all the terms. Is the code "boot leather" suede? The leather itself resembles suede more than anything else. How it will look exactly is hard to tell from the pictures. Again, I expected more from genuine leather than what appears to be fairly finished (for lack of a better word). I used this piece to make a watch strap and purse. Both seem to
