Description of Li Ion Lithium Battery Charger Protection

Charging voltage: 12.6V;Continuous discharge current (upper limit) : 20A (if the heat dissipation environment is not good, please reduce the load current use). Continuous charging current (upper limit) : 10A. Note 1: Successful starting of the drill requires 3 15C-20C power batteries, or 6 10C-15C power batteries (ordinary 18650 can not start the drill!!!). Note 2: wiring 0V, 4.2V, 8.4V and 12.6V strictly according to the figure, do not short-circuit intentionally. Note 3: When carrying loads of brush motor, a non-polar capacitor (voltage withstand 25V or more, capacity 10UF-100UF) must be connected in parallel at the positive and negative terminals of the motor to prevent the reverse peak voltage generated by the motor from interfering with the protection plate or breaking down the MOS tube. Note 4: When three batteries are in series, please ensure that the voltage of each battery is the same. If not, please fill each battery separately and then use it in series. In the discharge test, the group of batteries whose voltage drops faster is the poor battery.

Works as expected for household batteries, chargers and accessories

Works as it should. Used them to turn some toys into rechargeable ones. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge an 18650. When charging is complete, both red and blue lights will illuminate, although the description says only blue should illuminate. Not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of.

Pros
  • Note 1: 3 x 15C-20C power batteries or 6 x 10C-15C power batteries are required to start the drill successfully (normal 18650 can't start the drill! !!)
Cons
  • No power

something shorted.

I connected everything correctly as shown in the diagram for the battery. Checked voltmeter and showed 12.55V. when i tried to charge with a 12.6, 1 amp charger something shorted and the voltage dropped to 8.36 at first, then i checked the soldering and somehow shorted again, lost another cell and now it just shows 2.70v on. this was only the first board, i will try another one but it looks like they are all going broke.

Pros
  • Note 4: When connecting three batteries in series, make sure the voltage of each battery is the same. If not, fill each battery separately and then use them one by one. In the discharge test, a group of batteries whose voltage drops more rapidly is called a bad battery.
Cons
  • Some errors

The old Black Decker drill works with 12 V nickel-cadmium batteries The drill still works, but the old batteries became weak and could no longer hold a charge. I took out the old NiCd batteries (10 in series) and replaced them with three 18650 Li-Ion batteries with a "3S 18650 BMS". Now the old drill works great. An old drill with a lithium-ion battery is even lighter than before.

Pros
  • . Note 2: 0V, 4.2V, 8.4V and 12.6V wiring strictly according to the picture, do not intentionally short circuit.
Cons
  • A few little things
