As a new buyer of Pet Supplies, I was extremely disheartened with this product. As a result of using this Fish & Aquatic Pets filter, I found that it was difficult to install and did not fit perfectly in my tank. The strainer also clogged easily and required constant cleaning and maintenance. The only positive thing about this purchase was the affordable price. Unfortunately, the cons outweighed the pros and I would not recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable aquarium filter.

The filter itself worked as expected and required. The price is a bit high but I needed one for my system. Without the binding I would have bought at a better price.

Tried fitting it into an NPT socket for a Herbie overflow. The fit proved to be very snug, and when I tried to tighten it with my hands using two threads, it broke. The return was painless and I will be using the same manufacturer's slide fitting, but be aware that the plastic is very brittle if using this version.
