Based on our own experience, this biological filter delivers excellent results. It provides great biological filtration to our aquarium and keeps the water crystal clear. Besides being effective in maintaining the water quality, this filter is energy-efficient and does not produce much noise. The only downside is that it requires frequent cleaning to prevent clogging. Overall, it's a great addition to any aquarium setup.

I had no idea how many balls I was going to get, even when I received the box it didn't say but there should be at least 100 balls with charcoal in it. They're handy for small nano tanks with small filters, and because they're refillable, they can be used with other media like Matrix. The only drawback is that they are not so easy to open.

These bio balls are great, they reduce metal quickly, are high in trace elements and help to purify water and also help to neutralize odours. the best way to use them is with fast running water. I put them in my filter sock in the sump which is easy to collect and keeps up with changes depending on how full your tank is. I use 4-5 bio balls. at 35 gallons. Reef aquarium with 13 small fish, and at this rate change every 3rd filter sock change, one box lasts about 2 months for me. Excellent value
