DO NOT BUY THIS KIT!

I read the reviews about it and it seemed to me that the biggest problem was that the number of items in the kit was misleading. Bought two, one for each car. Then my battery died and I tried to start the car. THE WIRE MELTED, damaging my car. I bought these because they were advertised as AAA certified. I will be contacting AAA and Revain for a refund which turned out to be very poor and expensive! - Buy.

money thrown away. in security kits

I got banned, they're joking with me right? There weren't 42 in the bag, even after I counted the plastic bags they put things in and I'm sure they were, it still wasn't 42. There were clearly no items in them: none orange vest, no three bandages, no fuses, no AAA car care manual, no AAA member booklet, no rags, no AAA storage bag. Everything is cheaply made, cheaper than the dollar store stuff. I'm sending this back and will just buy another kit somewhere else or build my own kit. Very…

Very misleading packaging/marketing

I should have read the fine print. 42 pieces included (3) pieces for the batteries that come with the flashlight. The ziplock plastic bag they put the items in counts as a part. They supply 5 plastic zip ties each counting as a piece, (2) forms (AAA booklet and accident form) that didn't even exist, each counting as a piece etc etc etc. If you can get all of that together you really will Have 8 pieces. Longtime AAA customer and very disappointed with how this sold. However, I did not go into…

Don't Waste Your Money - Fake 42 Piece

If I've ever learned a lesson from reading customer reviews before I buy anything, it's definitely now. Shame on AAA for even calling their name plagiarized. "42 Items" includes the following: 20 bandages, 3 hand wipes, 1 ziplock bag, 1 bite pad, AAA member booklet, paperwork, zip ties, shop towel, tape, batteries, emergency poncho. Oh yeah, you get accessory cords, a 2-in-1 screwdriver, and a flashlight. Plus a carry case that counts towards the 42 pieces. I can probably put together a 1000…

Pretty disappointing connection cables.

As a long time AAA member I bought this set for my teenage daughter's car. When one of the family members came to visit, we needed connection cables. My daughter's car didn't have a wiring harness so we had to wait for my husband to come home in our family car to start the family car. her car. Shortly after buying her relatively new car, the battery died. So I pulled out my handy AAA kit and felt pretty smart for having the foresight to buy the kit. Battery. Also, the cables were too short to…

Clearly inconspicuous.

As a separate set this is disappointing at best. If you're looking for a cheap kit with a few random items, this is fine. Whatever the case, you could probably make the same items you have at home (e.g. flashlights, screwdrivers and band-aids) and buy an item or two (e.g. jumper cables) for the same price if not even cheaper. The only useful thing about the kit are the connecting cables and as I haven't had to use them yet I can't tell if they actually work or not. The flashlight and…
