it is made in China and does not stretch at the waist but is cropped at the waist with no elastic. It's a regular t-shirt with a hemmed skirt. But the kids love it, it's practical. They love the kitty so much and my 4 year old daughter only wears these dresses so I'm buying a few. Be sure to get them for a child over 2 years old so they can wear them a little longer and have no trouble fitting in as the waist doesn't stretch.

I was going to give my niece a 3T but took the 4T so she could wear it longer. Glad I did that because it doesn't work very well! Order one size up if you buy this.

This dress has become my daughter's favourite. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it holds up to both regular washings and their rough play (crawling, climbing, wood shavings, carpets, etc.). So far, their play hasn't worn down or damaged the skirt, and the design hasn't started to peel, lift, or crack through wash cycles. It's also roomier and longer, which is nice since it usually outgrows clothes quickly. I will buy more when it grows up.

My 7 year old daughter loves this dress. The picture is beautiful, the colors are bright, the fabric is comfortable. It usually fits in clothes 6x and 7. Ordered a size 7-8. The bust and stomach area of this dress is a bit tighter than most clothes this size so she won't wear it until she outgrows it. I wash them in cold water and line dry to prevent shrinkage. She's worn it a few times and overall I'd say it's worth the low price.

Good quality fabric, nice design. I appreciated it and bought a size 7 for my 5 year old granddaughter who is going from 5 to 6. The plan was to save it for later as she grows so fast and sometimes we run out of clothes faster than we think.
