The coronavirus won't heal, but it's getting easier to stay at home.

I love pizza. A lot of. I've cooked it on the grill, on bricks, in pots and pans, and in each of my three outdoor ovens. But Detroit-style pizza is unlike any other pizza, and when you're craving your friend's treat, you need the right equipment. This pan might not be Blue Steel, but it's as close as you can get (and a lot easier to work with). If you want that light, airy, thicker crust with the perfect crispy rim of melted cheese, it's definitely worth the investment. It seems like a solid…

Wonderful non-stick Detroit style pizza pan

Although I have only used the pan once the experience has been impressive. First, my Detroit-style pizza wasn't sticky at all. I quickly washed them with warm soapy water and dried them thoroughly before using them, but otherwise only quickly brushed them with oil before pressing in the pizza dough and had no problems removing the finished pizza after baking. offers ease of use, but the pizza it produces is pretty impressive. The crust was perfectly crispy, just like a Detroit-style pizza…

Homemade Detroit Style Red Top

I live in Metro Detroit and have lots of options for Detroit style red tops - Cloverleaf, Buddy's, Louie's, Shield's are all within driving distance. However, sometimes you just want to cook it at home, and this pan makes it possible. I've cooked several dishes in this pan, as well as a few other dishes that slip out instantly. It's made in the USA, seam welded. It's not blue steel like the car factory originals, but it does what it's supposed to do and you don't need to bake it in. Edit: I've…

If you're even considering Detroit-style pizza, get this pan!

Excellent quality that beats all other options, highly recommend! I first tried a few smaller 9-inch round baking pans and the pizza itself came out fine, but the pizza stuck to the bottom of the "nonstick" pans and was quite difficult to get out with mostly square tools. I then moved on to rectangular cake pans, which were also "non-stick" but had the same problems sticking to the bottom, and also found that the near-vertical sides were far from ideal. this seemed to have a very specific use…

THIS pan is needed to make Detroit-style pizza!

As someone who was born in Detroit and lived in Motor City for 54.5 of my 55 years, I've eaten more than my share of Detroit-style pizza. Buddy's is without a doubt my favorite, with its crispy crust made even more special by the caramelized brick cheese that oozes between the crust and pan as the pizza bakes. Oh my god, this is so delicious! In fact, Buddy's pizza is so good I never dreamed of making it at home. I just didn't think it was possible. But I recently stumbled across an online…
