Steel siding

Bought to cut steel siding for a barn. This tool along with the nibbler are amazing. Both have their uses. This one doesn't hit the ribs but makes a nice straight cut without scattering little crescent-shaped pieces all over the bottom. Nibbler is needed for tight turns or negotiating profiles. This instrument is made in Japan, so these are their top-of-the-line instruments.

Pros
  • Power tool
Cons
  • Some odds and ends

Worth the money, works as advertised.

Excellent product as always. This product easily cuts the stainless steel sheets I bought the product for. It also goes through 16ga mild steel like butter. The tool is easy to handle with little vibration. Although I bought the instrument naked (without the battery), the runtime with the 5.0 battery was longer than expected. I assumed that going through the sheets would drain the battery dramatically, but that's not the case.

Pros
  • Scissors and Nibbler
Cons
  • Small Parts

great idea but not great.

I've been making sheet metal for 20 years. great idea but not really in the real world. usually cuts 26ga in a straight line. 24ga is hard for them. Forget trying to cut a radius of any size. not worth €300.00. I'm a Makita guy and it sucks that Port Freight can sell 14 ga line cutters for $50, you change blades to Malkos and everything is so bulletproof. I wish Makita would offer larger caliber shears, both corded and cordless. Maybe it's time to move to Milwaukee. They have a really wide…

Pros
  • Scissors
Cons
  • Very expensive
