Big plus for filter accessories

After I changed the impeller, the water consumption is higher than the old one. I think my old one has worn out and lost the ability to pump water into the filter.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • So-so

Poor quality?: Aquarium pumps and filters

I ordered these less than a month ago because the old one I had for almost 3 years was making noise due to wear and tear. I have photos of this impeller before and after 2 weeks of use. Soon this "NEW" impeller claimed to make the same horrible vibrating noise as the old one. I use dual filters and change them every month. I would like a refund or at least a replacement. EDIT: I use large pebbles for pads, so the last impeller lasted almost three years (don't use flat pads as they will wear out

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Does what it should. Do not use /w sandy substrate.

works. Note that if you're replacing yours because of sand (or other solids) getting caught between the plastic and the shaft, you'll end up ordering them quite often. For this reason I would not recommend this filter for use with sandy bottoms. But I think they make it clear and if you try you have no one to blame but yourself :) A little petroleum jelly between the stem and the plastic can also calm them down (and delay sand penetration problems) - you can use pliers to carefully remove one…

  • price
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Substitute for fish and aquatic animals

The impeller is an acceptable replacement for the 150 Bio Wheel Power Filter when you need it. If you buy this wheel you must have worn one out and if you are like me buy it in just 1 month! It is too expensive for that in the long run, at this price it costs more than a completely new surge protector in just 3 months. Although that was my fault. I used very, very fine grit to get between the impeller shaft and the casing and sanded it down until large grooves formed on the impeller shaft. This

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
