The knife is well built and razor sharp. The birch handle is very attractive and the scabbard is well designed. This is a useful piece of art at a reasonable price.

Well that's a real knife. Beautiful, functional, sharp, a pleasure to use. I use it for everything from Kuxas woodcarving to bushcrafting to skinning. Devotion to the Finns. Good product and I am proud of it. You may want to wax the sheath with leather wax.

Damn this knife is beautifully made. The photos really don't do this knife justice, the mirror finish on the blade as opposed to the unpolished carbon steel is a nice touch. I have to say I have this knife and the finish is made to look like the blade. I think it looks great in my opinion so for other reviews the finish keeps me thinking it's ok and it's a blued finish and the leather sheath is very well made and the handle is a lovely nice wood. The knife is beautiful and well made. However, when received, the knife was wrapped in polyethylene. No box from Marttiini, just wrapped in a plastic bag. The most disappointing thing was that there was a chip on the tip of the blade. You could say new out of the box. In the beginning there was no box. Regarding quality control I would not have shipped the knife if it could have been seen as it would have been easy to check as there was no box. It makes me think maybe it wasn't brand new out of

I was looking for a carving knife that worked well and looked good and that's when I came across Marttiini. This model is almost perfect for me. The knife came SHARP, every part of the blade. Crafted from a beautiful piece of curly birch, the handle features a neutral design that makes it easy to grip in a variety of ways. For my XL hands, the handle is long enough to fully grip it. Okay before I get to the review I want to say that my package was damaged during shipping I think so take it as a suspicion. I was very disappointed when I received this knife from Revain. it was damaged out of the box.
