Meguiar's DMC3 3-Inch Microfiber Cutting Pad Review

The best microfiber cutting pads I have ever used. More aggressive than the Griot's Garage brand and has foam padding between the microfiber cutting plate and the Velcro on the back to protect the gel coating. Meguiar's offers an excellent range of cutting discs and cutting compounds. Machine washable so the rug won't fall apart like some other brands.

Wow, that's a great job. I tried the orange foam padding and yes I understand they make a firmer yellow foam, but I wanted to try the microfiber. Wow, what a time saver! I was even able to use a less aggressive compound over the orange foam. Griot Correction Cream and these haircut pads work great. I ended up polishing the mequiars with finishing pads just to be OCD, but these cutting pads are very well finished on their own. Very impressive!

For Cyclo Pad 3" Meguiar's microfiber pad could be 1/8 bigger and it would be perfect. I have an old model 5 Cyclo with no speed control, so the OPM speed was a bit slower than what Meguiar recommended. At the same time, Cyclo cuts amazingly well with 3 inch microfiber pads and uses only the highest quality compound. It cuts way better than my 5 inch hex logic double action orange chem guys. a pad to stand on the fiber after each 2' x 2' section you work.

These pads were used on a relatively new black painted car that was ruined by a free soft touch car wash at the dealer it came from. I used a pea sized Meguiars 210 polish and polished a 2x2 footboard at speed 2 on my polisher. As a result, most of the scratches on the light hologram have been removed. They worked great with a small Meguiar on my 3" Griot base plate for my DA Polisher. They're a bit larger (probably a 3.5" spacer so they stick out a bit above the baseplate, but still work great. With a little compound, they'll quickly clean muddy headlights, which wouldn't be the case if they hit foam pads.
