The knife set is worth every penny.

Bought for my wife to replace an old set of kitchen knives. The previous set claimed to be "stainless steel" but rust spots were starting to appear. Since having these knives they have worked flawlessly and have not had any issues with the blades or handles. An added bonus of this set compared to other knife sets is that the glass body is removable which allows the body to be cleaned itself. This helps keep everything clean and prevents contents from building up in the holder itself.

Fantastic knives! - Kitchen and dining room

Well, I have to admit that I'm addicted to chef's knives. I have all carbon steel knives from Global, Shun, Henkel, Wusthoff, Bob Cramer, Japanese handmade knives. and so on, the price was never an issue. I was in town with my daughter for a cooking class the other day and had the pleasure of using a Mercer Genisis knife. - Well balanced, incredibly sharp and an absolute workhorse. On the way home I stopped at Revane's and looked at her. To my surprise, I was able to get an amazing 5 piece set…

Stains after one use - updated

I was going to return them but decided to contact the manufacturer. I was shocked when someone answered the call when I called without switching to auto answer. They gave me an email address for help. Within 4 hours I received an email with instructions on how to fix it. A friend of the bartender with a washcloth. Cleaned up immediately and he told me how to avoid it by not letting water and juices sit on it. Excellent customer service. ——- I bought it for Christmas. They were once used to…

Impractical set

I bought these many years ago at a very reasonable price so I can't comment on value for money. They are sturdy and I haven't seen any rust as many complain. Maybe because I kept the knives myself on my magnetic knife bar for years? The display is attractive, but as at least one review I've read has pointed out, you can't store it under a cabinet unless you want to pull it out every time you take out (or knock over) a knife want. I recently moved in without a knife strip and was reminded of why

The glass block alone is great, the knives are the best

I needed good knives but I bought this one mainly for the block. This glass and stainless steel block is stunning, beautiful and makes more sense than any other knife storage I've seen. First, the blades rest on nothing. Unlike traditional wooden blocks, it is very easy to clean. Just remove the top brace, unscrew the tops of the braces and it will fall apart. Unlike the magnetic strip, the blades are locked in so they can be safely removed from their position. The knives themselves? For…

Overview with photos and dimensions (with size information!)

Nice set. Without doubt. I've had these knives for about 3 months now so I have enough experience with them to make a claim. They cut beautifully, from very large and tough vegetables to steak and cheese. I probably only use one chef's knife in the kitchen 80% of the time. However, you need to be aware of the following: 1. You are OVER 14 inches tall, measured from the bottom of the stand to the top of the knife handle (see Figure 1-2)2. If you have low cabinets like mine you can't remove the…

Well made, great price

These knives are great value for money. Before I ordered this set (three years ago!) I had a set of very expensive forged grips which I unfortunately lost during a divorce. Being on a budget I bought these expecting a mid-range knife to match the price. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these knives compare well to my old set and cost less than a third of the price. They are solidly forged, with thick lugs, well balanced, with a full shank and nice cheeks. They feel good in the hand…
