Great socks at a great price. Tested in Telluride, Colorado for 5 days at a ski resort with a night temperature of 5°F. Very warm, very well built, very good value for money. I bought another set of other socks along with these to see which ones are better and wish I could just buy 8 of them instead of just 4. Now I know it.

but they are not as good as I have found before for the same $. The texture is more reminiscent of tube socks from the 80s. They are thick but a little rough, making them a little prickly. Ok for everyday use but I need them for 120 degree heat and the last two I found that were thinner, stretchier and softer have been discontinued. There's nothing WRONG about these socks, they're just average.

The sock is very comfortable and quite soft. The fit was as expected but the thickness was a little heavier than I expected. These are definitely good socks compared to what I've seen elsewhere, but I was hoping they would be a little easier to wear at home. These are mid-weight, if not heavier, socks that are great for outdoor wear and will keep your feet warm.

I loved these socks until this happened (see photo). It happened this morning when I was putting on a sock. Brand new, this pair has never been worn so has not been washed. My thumb went straight through. Use normal pressure to put the sock on. Really sucks, because then the whole sock falls apart. So I had to sing the build quality.

On the positive side these socks feel comfortable and don't ride up your calves around your ankles during the day. minuses; However, I had to repair the top edge of one (1) of eight (8) socks after the first wash-dry cycle AND the surface of the material changes texture to a worn surface after the first wash-dry cycle. I now line dry my socks after washing on the gentle cycle to prevent further damage.

Nice thick hiking socks for the price. You get 4 pairs for the price of one pair of Darn Tough socks. But these GKX socks are durable, thick and have a soft and comfortable sole. I've worn them on 50 and 100 mile hikes through a few national parks and my feet have been soft and comfortable. from four in recent years. My favorite inexpensive hiking socks.
