I first bought this grinder just to sharpen Honda lawn mower blades. But I've since used it to shave and mill my kid's scout derby pine wagons, some exposed rebar, and am considering using it for a metal frame on a potential handrail. It's a lot more versatile than I initially thought and I'm glad I got it.
I own a plasma cutting shop and do a lot of grinding. I have used grinders from almost every major brand and my favorite over the years has been the Hitachi G12SE2. Metabo made the engine a little stronger, which it didn't need at all. They made the body narrower, but much longer. Unfortunately, they completely redesigned the locking paddle switch, which was one of the best features of the old model. The new switch is very difficult to lock. I would not recommend this coffee grinder again andβ¦
I use grinders professionally for work and bought this grinder as a budget tool. I've been using Dewalt, Makita, and Milwaukee for years and would rate it below Milwaukee but over 11 amp Dewalt and Makita grinders. The best direct comparison you can do for this model. I pull this thing out for any job where I don't want to ruin my cute Milwaukee with hard work (probability of wheels getting stuck and coffee grinder stopping chewing on the innards). I didn't expect the grinder to last long andβ¦
