🪚 Metabo HPT SB8V2 Variable Speed 21 Inch Belt Sander Review

I bought this belt sander to redo my porch. It did its job and never stopped, probably for 6-8 hours of almost non-stop grinding. However, there are some problems: 1) Dust collection is terrible. Dust flies everywhere except at the dust opening. I even connected a shoppyk and nothing helped - the dust flies out in the wrong place in front and on the side. This is a great price compared to other specification grinders. I considered buying another brand and settled on this grinder based on the reputation of the name and the overall advantage over the price. Hitachi has always been a good brand and the association with Metabo makes it even better. This grinder also comes with an excellent warranty. Pros I like the overall weight and design for many uses. Heavy and weighs enough not to bounce but not too much if you have good access to the grinding surface. where you have a bad working angle. Very wide and uses 3x21 straps which has become my favorite size over the years. The two devices received as "new" appear to have been used or will be returned.
