as mentioned it doesn't close properly. As if something was twisted. You can get close, but it takes strength. Unfortunately I needed such a low profile and couldn't find another.

Nice thick metal; The construction appears to be quite solid. Mine may not have every part accurate to 1/1000th of an inch, but it is fully functional. I was looking for a specially shaped tool chest to store my glass cutting tools and was surprised at how few were available in this particular size and shape; this will suit my needs well.

Box looks good, strong enough to hold things without falling apart. I will be returning it because the lid hinge was installed askew, one side about 9/16" from the top of the box to the top of the hinge and the other about 5/8" from the top of the box to the top of the hinge. This allowed only one latch to fully latch while the other was too far away not to latch.

The size of this metal case is reminiscent of the ubiquitous pearl gray metal document cases of the late 40's and early 50's that are still used in many homes. This one isn't as strong as the old ones, but it's strong and durable enough for normal use, especially in the workshop. The finish applies well and should last for many years if not subjected to rough handling, chemicals or excessive moisture.
