I ordered this to bypass the booster in my 1997 Ford Explorer. I found that the smaller connector was not the right size to connect to the speaker out connector which was much smaller. The wires were labeled, I was able to find the factory speaker wiring list and just snip a small connector off that wire harness, snip the connector off the amp output jack and just plug them right in. I've looked at a few other websites and they said this wiring harness is correct, but perhaps it just fits a…

Suitable for lighting and electrical

Installed on a 1995 Mustang to bypass the factory amp. There is one fork in the photo, but there are two in it. One end goes to the connector that was removed from the amp, the other smaller end had to be cut off and firmly attached to the new radio's speaker wires. It works, I just don't know why there is a smaller end as it doesn't fit the car or the new Metra harnesses I was using. I called Metra and they gave me great installation advice. Will not fit my 97 Explorer with premium sound

I bought this adapter to bypass the built in amplifier after installing an aftermarket head unit. Unfortunately it didn't fit my amp. It was only supposed to fit between the two plugs that go into the amp, but mine was different, one plug was smaller than the other. I later discovered that many other people were having similar issues so I wanted to review and review this product to make sure others were aware of this beforehand.
