Ground for wrong radio contact

This worked for what I needed. I had to solder various circuits directly to the car wiring since it was precut. The connector from the side of the car was still in the car. Found that the ground for the head unit does not have a proper ground in the pin on the connector on the side of the vehicle. This would result in the radio not turning on. Was able to use the nearest ground stud.

Perfect!: Car Audio & Video Installation

When I ordered and received late March 2018 it was a legitimate Metra product, came with correct color RCA cables and worked great with my 98 Lexus ES300 Nakamichi -Amplifier. /Standard Stereo. One thing I've seen is that people want one that has a lighting wire that this one doesn't. But I don't need this cable for my stereo. Sounds great, includes amp, speakers and subwoofer with no engine noise/howling and reproduces bass (last two depend on the main unit I think) but as always it will sound

Works on a 1999 Camry with an AD6801 radio wiring harness

Most Toyotas seem to have a different wiring harness than this one I found when trying to find the right one to fit a new Sony stereo to install in my 99 Camry. it did the job perfectly. UPDATE: 9/10/21 It had 1 wire I didn't need and was missing the one I had (the power antenna had no backlight) and after leaving it unlit for 2 years I finally took it apart today and have moved the wire/pin to have a lighting function without having to manually turn on the dimmer at night. It only took me a…

Exactly for 1996 Toyota Avalon

It took a little effort to find this suspension as most netizens think that "all Toyotas" use a different suspension. (two connectors, different number of pins.) If you've already purchased this kit and it was obviously wrong, this is probably what you're looking for. This strap did its job perfectly. However, you will need a stereo with RCA outputs on the back. In my case, the stereo I used only had 1 pair. (left and right only) so we used a pair of RCA splitters from those outputs to this…

Doesn't work best for me in automotive and automotive electronics

After reading the reviews I decided to give this product a try. I have a '92 Lexus SC300 and was in the process of installing an aftermarket stereo from JVC and this adapter seemed to fit the bill. Unfortunately, after installing a JVC device with this adapter, I had the same problem that other reviewers have noted. The sound was heavily distorted and not worth listening to. I removed the adapter harness and then hooked up the JVC stereo directly to the speakers, bypassing the OEM trunk amp…

Makes Installation Easier, But Not Without Errors

This wiring harness makes the installation of the factory head unit easier, but has a few issues that you should be aware of, especially if you are new to installing a new car stereo. Firstly, as other reviews have noted, there is no wire in this cable to dim the display when the headlights are on. While it doesn't seem like a big deal, the display can be very bright and distracting when driving at night. I connected it to the dash (12V), which was easy on my 1999 Celica, but I still had to…
