🚗 Metra 99-8219 Single DIN Installation Kit for Toyota FJ Cruiser 2007-2008 Review

It was very difficult to fit the DIN mount to the Metra frame. After installation, the head unit still had play when pressing the buttons, so I removed it and installed the Scosche bracket. It's a lot safer and I'm glad I took the time to make the change.

I bought this stereo to replace my standard stereo with a JVC aftermarket deck for my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. It looks good, works great, fits well in the dash but my only issue was the bezel and it doesn't stay in one place. It will snap into place, but it will move a little from that position. Whenever I drive over bumps, cattle fences or my subwoofer is hit, the panel rattles. Would have given 5 stars if the front panel hadn't rattled.

Not at all satisfied. Installed in 07 FJ Cruiser with DIN hull. He fits, I can only say good things about him. Very weak when installed, plastic mounts that bend a lot. The plastic bevel that snaps into place on the front to keep it looking clean is junk (a plastic rectangular piece that attaches to the front with 4 clips). The part is not even usable, it jumps and does not stay in place. Had to use a different plastic front from another old set I had and luckily it now fits and works.
