It caught fire. We have been using it for almost a month, very satisfied, no problems but today it accidentally decided to melt causing sparks and a small fire in the microwave. Luckily we caught him and got out the microwave. He filled the house with plastic fumes. Great product. It's a brilliant idea to use magnets to hold the lid in the air so you can keep cups and other things warm without getting in the way. Based on some of the reviews and my experience with kitchen gadgets I was a bit skeptical about this. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked so well. We have a medium sized Whirlpool built in microwave and the lids fit our microwave perfectly. We have a magnetic one and it sticks to the top with no problem.
