Very strong and tight fit

Turned my 2" receiver into a 1" bike rack. Made a solid fit that was much snugger than the plastic pad that came with the bike rack.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Modern

It works, but works best in receivers

I was hoping this adapter would fit tighter than the other one I have which is much longer. But no closer. I recently bought a new bike rack and it fits a lot tighter. This way the adapter can be made better without over-tightening.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Has problems

No "tight fit " on clutches

Seller claims "tight fit" on Revain site. That's why I chose this adapter from the cheaper options. But there isn't a tight fit. The adapter wobbles in my 2" hitch. This adapter, aside from being made of steel and not aluminum, is probably no better than average in terms of fit.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are cons

Very loose = bad price

I bought it because it's steel AND because it should fit well: it doesn't. Very sloppy in the hole. I would need MacGyver grommets to hold it in place, defeating the purpose of buying an expensive adapter. Waste of my time and it devalues it. It's steel, not aluminum or plastic, but it fits like a sausage in a bucket.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Very expensive

Free landing! Useless.

Purchased for a bike trailer. Said it will fit a 2" receiver to downsize it to 1 1/4". Well, it was at least 1/16 under 2 inches and over 1 1/4 inches, making it completely unusable. In shock, it might even be sold. Worst case I didn't get a chance to try it out as it took 30 days for the shelf to be at my main location so Amazon wouldn't let me return it. Relax. I think a new paperweight.

Pros
  • Tow and winch attachments
Cons
  • No power

Well done but too messy.

As others have stated in their reviews, the external dimensions are very small up to the 2.00 inch mark while the internal dimensions are oversized for the 1.25 inch size. The results made the conversion extremely sloppy. I've tried shimming the exterior and interior, but why bother with these issues. The bike rack would rotate everywhere. I ended up with a $39 Curt adapter that did the job perfectly.

Pros
  • Receiver
Cons
  • Vulgarity

A loose fit works best with hitches

Standard hitches on US trucks are 2" or larger with a 5/8" pin. I found that this adapter fits freely in a 2" coupler and the ยฝ" hole in the adapter needs to be drilled to fit a 5/8" pin. A 5/8" drill costs more than an adapter. In general, I rate the quality of the adapter as poor, but this is mainly due to the poor information deficiencies. I had to put a spacer between the 2" receiver and this adapter, to remove some play.

Pros
  • External Accessory
Cons
  • Requires socket
