Best value kitchen and dining room

Arrived quickly. It's surprisingly sharp and well balanced. The cranked handle makes it very easy to cut even fresh bread.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not sure

An excellent combination of functionality and price

The advantages of a cranked bread knife are obvious. And the quality of MIU's forged blades is quite good. So the functionality of this knife should come as no surprise. Revain's price makes this a steal. I am very happy.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Nothing here

Nice sandwich cutter

I often make sandwiches and need an inexpensive sandwich cutter. A good riveted handle is better than a cast one and matches my other knives in the block. The size is perfect for any size sandwich and works much better than my standard 5 inch serrated knife.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Crumpled

good for the price in Kitchen & Dining

This is definitely a nice knife and for the money it's hard to beat. The review mentions that the blade is a bit thick so it can tend to chew a bit on more delicate items if you're not careful. That criticism aside, however, it's a great price, good quality, and very durable. Just make sure you know what you want.

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • fits

Looks great but does a mediocre job with many baked goods

This knife has many features and design similarities to top of the range German knives, but in one of the main uses it was designed for which is slicing bread (especially the hardier varieties with thicker bark) it does not fare well at all. Have a broom ready to sweep up excess crumbs.FRG

Pros
  • Only positive
Cons
  • Ease of maintenance

The pen looks used, the spine is thick, but I still like it.

Pretty decent for a $20 bread knife. A bit thick for a bread knife. Arrived in fully sealed clamshell packaging (annoying) but somehow had a few scuffs on the handle like it was a relaxation item or something. For the price, it doesn't really matter, but it's probably worth mentioning if it matters to you. Basically I bought this because I need an offset bread knife that doesn't look like I nicked it from Jimmy Jones in my set. I'll probably still use my Mercer or Dexter Russell, but who knows,

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

I love my new bread knife.

I like my new bread knife. I gave the old one - it was a good knife - to my stepdaughter who needed it. Bought this as a replacement. Very very happy with it. Very well made, has a nice solid feel and I love the offset. This makes slicing bread much easier. Also ideal for cutting tomatoes. I haven't tried it on other cutting tables, but I have complete confidence in its ability to slice anything (food) with easily controllable precision. Plan to try this on Turkey next Thanksgiving. I've been…
