Flickering at 120Hz 1440p

I doubt this is a 1.4DP cable as replacing the cable with another 1.4DP cable solved the flickering problem.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Very expensive

It works great at 1440p at 144Hz

My previous cable died after 4 years. I bought the Monoprice cable because I trust the name. I'm currently using a 1440p monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate. It looks like it's working fine. The length is longer than my old cable, 10ft vs 6ft. I would say it's more convenient. Good buy.

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works for 5Kx2K, 60Hz, 10-bit HDR

Tried several other cables to get a 5120x2160 monitor with 10-bit RGB 60Hz, other similar cables claiming DP1 .4 to only worked at either 30Hz or YCrCb422 color, indicating they were running at DP1.2 bandwidth. This one was actually a bit cheaper than others I've tried and actually worked with the bandwidth required.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • No color required

Flickering at 144hz 1440p

I use this for my second monitor so I don't really need this one at 144hz but it does cause the red light on the back of my Viotek gft27d to flicker and blink. According to Viotek manual, red light means no horizontal or vertical signal detected or voltage is low. The flickering stops when another DP cable is used, as does the flickering. Lowered to 60Hz and everything works.

Pros
  • even old understandable
Cons
  • Factor set

Typical Monoprice quality and reliability

What can you say about the cables? Many. Monoprice cables have never let me down while some other brands have. If you don't see a review from me on another brand, consider that this "other brand" didn't work (cables broken after regular use, bad plugs, etc.). Monoprice also guarantees many of their cables. So if they break, you have an opportunity to ask for help. This cable looks very nice. It worked well for daisy-chaining two monitors over a DP-DP connection (and only required 16.5 inches in

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Something's wrong
