No praise for the product itself, Motorcraft has a good reputation. Filters are critical to the longevity of your engine, so why compromise. I had problems with other brands so I chose what Ford has for my Ford. The price and speed of delivery drew me to Revain and this purchase was no different. Also check the box on the product image. It's a little beat up, and that's for sure. So you're not hiding anything. You get exactly what you are shown.

I'm sure there are other filters that are just as good or even slightly better. Find out what the problem is. There is supporting evidence that this motor is good and that is why I choose OEM Motorcraft. 1) Ford developed this engine (6.7 diesel), they know better than anyone what their engine needs to filter. 2) Ford has a monetary motivation for this filter to do its job. You must guarantee this engine for up to 100,000 miles. It is not profitable for them to be cheap in filtration.

I have ordered from these guys before and it has usually been good. But this time the filter arrived in a cheap oversized envelope and the filter was out of the box (which was completely destroyed). Also gone is the plastic wrap that normally keeps the filter clean, leaving the smaller pieces of cardboard from the torn box stuck in the filter itself. Very disappointed with this as now I don't think the filter will be safe and honestly the price this time wasn't much cheaper than the auto parts…
