I bought this to cover the back seat of a Cadillac ATS. This works pretty well but doesn't form a complete U shape like in the picture. This will definitely protect the seats, but you may not get enough protection between the front and back seats if your dog likes to move around. This hammock is amazing! When I first bought it I had a 2009 Chevy Malibu and it fit perfectly, now I have a 2017 Ford Explorer and it fits my second row just as well! The straps that wrap around the headrests are easy to adjust, no problem with them slipping and dangling the hammock. EDIT: 7/29/16 - NAC&ZAC contacted me a few weeks ago and said they recognized the bug in the product. (loose nylon after exposure to high temperature). They said they reformulated the straps and made them more heat resistant and asked to send me a new one. Got a new one and changed my rating to 4 stars because every other aspect of it is a great product. Will come back to my review about 6 months after we weathered the worst of the summer heat here in the south and see how the straps hold up…

Updated 8/22/16 Bought a new rig and opted for one of the fancy 'Padded' rigs instead. What mistake! First one had no side flaps (each cost about $50), next one doesn't fit well (2016 Tacoma), top corners are hanging down, very cheaply made.
