Worth every penny!: Accessory

This purchase was an upgrade to a very basic $19 hydration pack I bought in desperation at a department store the eve of a trail race. I'll preface my review by saying I'm cheap. I rarely spend that much money on anything for running/hiking as I always feel like there has to be a cheaper alternative I can live with even if it's not the best. Luckily it was a gift from my husband, otherwise I wouldn't have stupidly spent the money this time either. This purchase was worth every penny! It is very

Pros
  • DESIGN - Lightweight and comfortable - no feathers, breathable materials and a snug fit - with soft, non-chafing elastic binding around the perimeter. Capacity: $732 / 12 liters; Weight with Bladder: 14 oz/392 g
Cons
  • Very Expensive

So far so good for accessories

first edition. I liked this vest and it looked a bit ugly so I decided to upgrade to the VaporHowe 2 12L. I've been wearing this vest for almost a week now. They chose the overall fit of this vest and it sits even more comfortably on my back than the first. I also have to say that I like the color, I think it will show less dirt than light blue. I would recommend washing the vest before using it with a light colored shirt, the purple bleeds a bit. I just rinsed it with vinegar so I didn't try…

Pros
  • FUNCTIONAL - The Vapor Howe features a 1.6 liter tank with quick release valve system, waterproof pill pocket and two easy access front pockets for bottles (bottles not included)
Cons
  • replacement availability

If you are between sizes, reduce the size.

When the vest first arrived I was delighted as it seemed to match all the items I was looking for. Lightweight (really amazingly lightweight), soft, non-chafing material, lots of different pocket/storage options, a handy place for a phone, the option to use a hydration pack or bottles, and lots of adjustments for a perfect fit. I went by the size chart and ended up between XXS and XS so I rounded up and ordered XS. There was an error. No matter how much I synced the straps, they were too big…

Pros
  • FIT - The vest is a snug fit and the overall size tends to run slightly smaller, so it is recommended that anyone of a higher level should go one size up in this size!

Not suitable for small people with large breasts

I am a little girl with big breasts. Nathan Women's Hydration Pack/Running Vest Sizing Options - VaporHowe's sizing options made me think I could adjust the straps to fit my bust if I bought the right size for my torso. Unfortunately it isn't. The straps are tight and don't have much extra room. I've tried to get this to work but it just won't happen. I think I'll have to buy belt extenders if any. Paying that much for a hydration vest just sucks and the straps are so tiny there is very little…

Pros
  • IDEAL - perfect for marathons, trail running, hiking, biking, climbing, outdoor enthusiasts and drinking on the go!
Cons
  • Good but not great
