I love 501s. My favorite is New Balances, they don't seem to be making them at the moment so I'm glad I was able to get hold of them.

Like it - looks nice and comfortable but I feel like the fit is a bit loose. My ankle shouldn't slip out of my shoes a bit while walking. It might be better to go 1/2 size smaller.

Shoes smell. I have several pairs of New Balance shoes and none of them stink except for this pair. The smell hit me in the middle of a day at work and it took me about an hour to figure out where it was coming from. Not sure if it's canvas material or what but they stink. Disappointed because I love NB shoes.

I ordered wide models and they are too small on the sides. If you want very wide shoes, these wide shoes are quite narrow. Look specifically for extra wide.

They're a bit bigger than the other New Balance sneakers, but when it's a bit cooler I wear them with thicker socks. At the same time, they are comfortable and beautiful.
