I have a model train set in the upstairs garage.

I have a model train set in my upstairs garage. This heater has the minimum capacity for the heated area. However, it only turns on when I'm in the top garage. Works well, especially for the price. After a few hours, the temperature reaches 70 degrees. I don't know when it drops to zero how well it will heat. This will be decided later, hopefully not in the near future.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Do not buy. in heating, cooling and air quality

When installing this heater, as with other complaints, the fan does not work. So regarding this I contact amazon who sends me back to newair who sends me back to amazon who sends me back to newair who says they can't replace the unit because they don't have it and then sends me back to amazon who says there was nothing they could do but they stocked them and then referred me back to Newair. So, after a few emails and about an hour on the phone, I get a return label.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Fair enough, but...

My house could burn down!

This is the first time I am writing a review for Revain. I bought this NewAir G73 heater, the first heating element didn't work. So I ordered another one and this one almost burned down my garage because it shorted out and remembered it was 240 volts. This is the manufacturer's fault. The cover screw on the back touched the wires going to the thermostat switch. you can see it in the picture. I called the manufacturer and they didn't do anything. Garbage. Please do yourself a favor and buyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Almost everything is available

Decent little heater

Bought for my garage/shop. Connected to the cable from the dryer. The unit had a ground wire, a review on YouTube says there is no ground wire. Changed switch to 30 amps from 50 amps. Tested this morning and went from 56 degrees to 64 degrees in 15 minutes. On medium settings. May take longer in cold weather. The garage is insulated. Only 4 stars because there is no external switch and I've only had it for a few days. If I'm not mistaken, I'll provide an updated review in the spring. Prosโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

If you are looking for a good garage heater then this is not it.

I've just installed a heater in my garage and figured it would be best to report problems while I still have them in my head. Sound. The blade struck one of the posts holding the heating element in place (top right when facing the heater). And it wasn't just the touching, everything was so misaligned that the fan wasn't spinning at all when touching the rack at power-up. To avoid it, it had to be spread. I couldn't adjust the position of the grate, so I removed it and turned the heater back on.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Small size, good control.

Impressed by the small size. The air velocity easily hits the opposite side of my 22 foot space and circulates back making the air temperature more even. Quieter than I expected. Smaller fan sizes generally have to generate more noise to do the job of a larger fan. Some non-electricians may think they can install but are confused by the one black, one white, and one yellow/green striped wire inside. You may think that white is neutral and connect it to a 120V source (you can also use a 2-wireโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Sad device

Overall I've never been impressed with anything like this BUT

MY GARAGE: I have a small 2 car garage that can be hidden under the house. So it can be considered insulated, it's 18 x 18 with 8 foot ceilings and insulated garage doors. I live in New England. Still, it gets very cold in space anyway. QUALITY: I build machines for a living and I personally stick to the old school of quality. Everything made in the US in the 50's was well built. Of course, those times are over, in general, something like that never impressed me, BUT. I admit I was pleased with

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
