I have 3 pairs. An old pair for mowing and gardening, another for outdoors and my newest pair for treadmill use. When the running shoes wear out, each pair is upgraded to the next level and I buy a new pair for the treadmill. Very comfortable and durable shoes.

I have been buying this particular brand and shoe model for 20 years. I wear them almost every day and each pair has lasted about 7 years. In all this time I have only had to order a pair for the fourth time. The price has gone up over the years but you get so much for what you pay for. The Monarch isn't 'luxury', it's not top-of-the-line, but if you're looking for discreet shoes, you want something comfortable and durable - casual shoes - you can't go wrong.

So I was hesitant at first because usually when you see these shoes you think it's an old man, but these days I need comfort more than anything and they are very comfortable. Very supportive as I train in them every day and they are worth it. They are very easy to care for and remain beautiful for a long time.

I've worn Monarch for many years and have never had a problem. The new monarch creaks as he walks. I've had at least 6 pairs of Monarchs and none of them creaked when walked on. My grandson also bought a pair on my recommendation, he also creaks when walking. What is the problem and what did you do to cause it? Please provide us both with a replacement that does not squeak when walking. Nicky will not be replaced

I've worn sneakers for too many years to remember: buy a new pair every year and swap out the oldest pair, you can't go wrong.

It is by far the most comfortable and best fitting shoe. I'm not sure about buying shoes online so this was a pleasant surprise. Thanks ebay!

These shoes started to peel off the soles a few months after purchase, only worn 4 times. It was past my return deadline and I was already wearing it, so I contacted NIKE. They asked for the release date, look at the tag on the sneaker. MAY 2013. Now I'm in shoes that cost $80, dried out and fell apart. BAD BAD BAD

These are great shoes. But for some reason, they came with very long 54-inch laces that need to be tied in threes or fours.

Buy a pair of these for work every year and a half or so. They are GREAT - super comfy. I work all day on a concrete floor in a warehouse and they are the best I have found and they are quite durable and also a word for the wise, buy a half size larger than usual and buy WIDE, Nikes fall narrow

I have bought these shoes in different models and have been satisfied with their performance. The current pair broke after two months of wearing them at the gym. I usually go to the gym one to three days a week to run a mile or two on a rubber track. At 80, I doubt that failure is due to my aggressive behavior. If you have a wide foot, the wide model is very comfortable for people with wide feet, and the shoe is great for sports on the court, fitness walking and walking in general. The soles are durable, grip well on courts and pavements and give your feet good grip.
