Great tips for beginners, used them with speedball ink for dip calligraphy and couldn't get enough fine lines. Ph Martin ink helped with this, but the ink didn't drip where alcohol should have been used, possibly user error :)

I'm new to pen dipping and have heard/read/seen how to clean nibs when they're new (the most common suggestion is to pierce a potato) but I forgot to do this . I've used a G tip on each and haven't noticed any ink retention issues. Maybe they didn't need cleaning? In any case, as a beginner, I was worried about how they would feel.
