They give the truck more light when reversing. They were supposed to come with a template, but there wasn't one and that definitely made it difficult to install. I connected them to a relay so I'm not sure if they will burn your wires if you connect them to a direct connection. They do a good job but could do better. However, there is good value for money. Need to light the back of my truck to fit trailers, RV's etc. It lights up the area very well. I also have headlights on the steering wheel, they don't illuminate the lower areas that these lights do. Installation was fairly easy, aside from trying to find a spot on the truck's bumper that was flat enough to mount the headlights. I have purchased several Nilight products and this one is up to the standard I expected. With budget LEDs, it can be difficult to find the right balance between cost, quality and brightness. In my experience, Nilight offers a great balance between all three. They are well built and look great. Headlights are bright and work very well as backup lights. Installation was easy but the cardboard template sucked and wasn't cut to the same shape or size for the square hole you need to cut in the bumper. Also, the equipment they give you rusts very quickly and I don't live in a salty environment. Without the template and hardware I would have given it 5 stars *edit* After about 6 months one light burned out and both had condensation in their lenses. NiLights is said to have a 2 year warranty

These lights have been on my truck for about a month now. These are high quality, durable lamps. I didn't connect them to the reverse lights. Instead, I connected them to a Nilight 4 rocker switch so I could turn them on and off at the park and while riding. When I installed them I used the template that came with it, taped it to my bumper and drew the outline. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING A TEMPLATE. When I cut the holes in my bumper, the size was a little off, so I made adjustments by eye anyway.
