Works great until summer comes

Works great until summer comes! The glue just can't handle how hot it gets in the car in the summer - there is no way to order replacement glue once the two stickers supplied have worn off and after about a week at >90 the glue fell off while I was Drive. Same goes for the second sticker, even though I mounted the dash right next to one of my air vents. If it was more durable I'd like it, but it's not intended for people who live where it gets hot in the summer.

Not exactly the same photo in the ad

Although this is a good device for holding the phone, there is (at least) one significant difference in one of the photos in this ad. I have provided photos of what was in the ad and what I received. Usually the steel ball is a steel ball, but the one sold is larger and more angular than the one sent to me. the phone at an angle of 90º, which would appear in their photo, but the one I received only allowed the angle to be adjusted to no more than 45º. I can change the ones they sent me to give…

Terrible liability. Bad product.

Probably a great system. It will not stick. Not only did I clean and prep properly, but that's not a point of failure. The ball comes off, but the band stays. Only lasts 3 months. So I bought 2 more. One for the work truck and one for the car. I figured that because I used the worker so much, it just couldn't handle the push, pull, and twist. no This is a HORRIBLE glue. The hardly used car melted down. Which would be understandable, but this product is intended for use in a car. The mountain is

Great product and it meets my needs

Of the various phone mounting systems I've tried, this is my favorite. It doesn't take up much space on my dashboards and I've installed it in three different cars. Because it's a sphere it's easy to install on different dashboards and I like the part that stays on the phone because it's small and doesn't bother me when I put the phone in my pocket and take it out. I would buy it again and I would recommend it to others. I wish it had more than the two included clutch rings because when I mount

Good cradle assembly

I forgot when I bought the other one but I swear the base was smaller. The base is a little wide, and maybe it should be, but I was hoping it would be a bit smaller than my existing one. There aren't many places I could install this, and of course I didn't install it on one of my machines because it didn't fit anywhere on the front of the radio. It doesn't stick to the dashboard I think due to the fact that the surface is porous/not smooth. I ended up using it in the same vehicle I already had…

Yes it moves but it still holds up better than a plastic mount

Very simple, relatively easy to install. You just need a decent flat surface to stick it on and then attach the magnet to the phone. I've had this mounting system on 2 bikes, the first was a 2002 Yamaha r6, went to about 130 with a phone on the front of the gas tank and it wasn't moving, my current bike is a Honda Nighthawk 85, the phone is just under mounted on the gas cap, the bike has very stiff suspension and the phone has not fallen off yet. Yes, your phone moves from time to time, but it…

This original never disappoints.

I have had my Original Steelie for a number of years now. I just bought a new car and didn't try to remove the original before replacing it just took this replacement. It was so frustrating not having him for a few days. If you have Steelie, you can't live without it! My husband has one too so it's easy to drive any car. I looked at cheaper copies but the Nite Ize was tried and true so I didn't even try to fake it. For more than 3 years my phone has NEVER been dropped and I had a jeep! Yes, my…

Best in class

I've tried many different phone mounts. This one is by far the best, mostly because it's simple. The ball that attaches to the dashboard takes up 70% less space than other phone mounts. This is a huge benefit when you want to keep your phone within reach and as close to your eyes as possible (focused on the road). Turning off the road is dangerous. Period. The closer your phone/GPS is, the faster you can get your eyes back to where they should be. Because of the small footprint, I can place it…
