Nite Ize Original Steelie Dash Review

Works great until summer comes! The glue just can't handle how hot it gets in the car in the summer - there is no way to order replacement glue once the two stickers supplied have worn off and after about a week at >90 the glue fell off while I was Drive. Same goes for the second sticker, even though I mounted the dash right next to one of my air vents. If it was more durable I'd like it, but it's not intended for people who live where it gets hot in the summer.

Although this is a good device for holding the phone, there is (at least) one significant difference in one of the photos in this ad. I have provided photos of what was in the ad and what I received. Very simple, relatively easy to install. You just need a decent flat surface to stick it on and then attach the magnet to the phone. I've tried many different phone mounts. This one is by far the best, mostly because it's simple. The ball that attaches to the dashboard takes up 70% less space than other phone mounts. This is a huge benefit when you want to keep your phone within reach and as close to your eyes as possible (focused on the road). Turning off the road is dangerous. Period.
