The item is probably better than a regular uncorked open bottle, but more of a novelty item than an important functional item.

It really works. I can not believe it. I was skeptical when my wife advised me to buy it, but after trying it I really believed.

Does not have the leakage and spillage problems of Venturi style aerators. The downside is that the seal that attaches the aerator to the neck of the bottle wears out.

Arrived with a crack in the 'glass' plastic - so was unusable for the gift it was intended to be. And I'm not sure if it adds much to the flavor of the wine. Nice design, 2 stars for that.

Attaches easily to the bottle, works well, cleans easily with a rinse and the stand is very handy for air drying after rinsing to leave and keep nearby if needed. This and the vacuum holder work well together if you only need one jar :)

Funny little aerator, not very high quality but it even inflates Wally World's Oak Tree wine! I think if I had any suggestions I'd say it's good for the casual wine lover. For a more sophisticated taste, spend a little more and get one that has more going for it than just the complicated journey the wine must go through. This doesn't really "aerate" the wine, it just whips it up a bit.
