Just what I needed

My main reason for purchasing this water stone is to keep my carpentry chisels and planes sharp, but I can also use it to sharpen kitchen knives and various pocket knives that we have a straight razor at home that I shave with. A quick internet search will bring you many articles and videos on how to use waterstones to keep your knives sharp. This was my first water stone and I have been happy with the results so far. The box is great for storing the stone and the rubber feet on the bottom…

Essential for sharpening all kinds of objects

I have used Norton Wet Stones for many years. I first bought them for planes and chisels and soon found that they are also the best way to sharpen pretty much any knife blade. The 1000 stone is the most versatile of the 4 grits. It doesn't matter whether you're repurposing something old, restoring the angle of a frequently used knife, or removing scratches on a display item. Requires 1000 grit. It prepares the surface for 8000 grit to apply a highly polished and smooth razor blade with no nicks

Norton Waterstone 4000 Grit

I have three Norton Waterstones for my knives and they all work great. ideal substrate for the stone setting. The case has rubber feet on the corners so that all objects do not slip when sharpening. I have sharpened many knives and the Norton waterstones show little to no wear and do a great job of getting the blade right. Since I have three of these stones, two of them are combination stones with two grits on opposite sides. This makes it easy to smooth the stones by rubbing the highest grit…
