These tip caps definitely reduce noise and glide well across the screen. The problem is that they are too thick, causing dotted lines to appear on the pen instead of solid lines. They work for a short time before the pen gets into trouble.

I like recording lectures, but typing with the pen was very loud. It definitely muffles the knocking (still a little audible but in the background). I also like the feel of the pen writing with them, really, now I prefer them to a plain pen.

They're great, but be aware that no matter what cases you buy for your Apple Pen, writing is less and less smooth. I use them when writing lecture notes in class and haven't had any problems with them so far, but they take a bit of getting used to.

I bought these to extend the life of my Apple Pencil pens. Many people complain about how the iPad screen feels or that it wears out too quickly. It takes a little getting used to to be honest, but I like that they help keep the noise to a minimum when using the stylus on the iPad. Update: I originally rated it 5 stars, but because I have a paper screen protector, it wears out Top off in just one day. (I made about 2-3 drawings a day with a hint). One of the tips is already torn, but that was probably due to my aggressive pressure, and also to the protective paper film.
