I purchased this item and overall the product is excellent. Unfortunately I left the travel pack in my travel backpack and the heat formed an adhesive backing that stuck to the back of the adhesive side of the Velcro (rendering it unusable). as you assume it should be. To get the most out of this product, plan on attaching it to the tourpack post with screws (l) (which is a nuisance if you have an insert).

I wish I could give this one 5 stars because it has a lot of different sized pockets. I bought this for my 2020 Harley Trike Touring pack. Strips of tape don't hold, it lasted a week when only used for my sunglasses and bike road maps, after a week of opening and closing my travel case it started half falling off, I've re-attached it.
