I still prefer to use my phone to search Magellan for information. The grandkids had lost another cable so I was glad I was able to find a replacement.

I purchased this item in August 2015 to replace my original charger. It was good while it lasted (only 10 months). The price was right and it worked like the original. I don't think I would buy this item again. Look for something else to replace this.

Haven't had it long enough to appreciate how well it was put together but seems solid and works great. Doesn't try to jump out of the socket like some poorly assembled products and doesn't get hot. It has a small unobtrusive light to indicate it is receiving power. The only criticism is that the power cord is too short.

Didn't last two weeks and the tip of the cigarette lighter plug was bent. Very cheap connector. The cable was thick and comparable to the original, but when the cigarette lighter plug fails it defeats the rest of the quality cable. Wouldn't buy again after sending it back for a refund.

The USB connector on the charger I received is upside down as shown here. So when plugged into the left side of my Magellan 5230 and 5265 the cable is at the top of the connector instead of hanging down instead of just hanging straight down. Very disappointed with this as I'm pretty sure I just paid for a factory second that was assembled incorrectly. It works fine (it doesn't have a loading indicator like the OEM btw) but if I ever need another one I'll just go to the Magellan website and buy…

Bought after the factory power cord gave up the ghost less than a year later. It works great and collects traffic well (tried another one that didn't handle traffic as well). I would like to recommend it as an inexpensive replacement for the factory power cord.+ Ideal replacement for defective Magellan power cords with traffic support.+ Supports traffic function.
