Great outdoor backpack

This is a package that outperforms all other packages that do not require a second mortgage. Great backpack, I could probably get away with the Exos 38 but a bit more room will come in handy when I'm out in cooler climates. The light is super light. Excellent quality. I used it on the Superior Hiking Trail in northern Minnesota for three days and two nights and it worked great. My food and water load was about 32 pounds.

Pros
  • Recommended load range: 20-40 lbs. - Package weight 2.57 lbs. for medium size 31.1 x 15.75 x 12.6 inches
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Very good packaging for backpacks, bags and accessories

Has a mesh back, aids breathing, is lightweight and sits well on the hips to relieve tension from the Shoulders. The top pocket is detachable. This is a good package. Two things will make it better. Utility pockets on waistbelt and large open pockets on sides that can be used with zips. The side pockets were good, they put the medium Gatorid in and it didn't fall out. I'd feel a little better if you sealed these bags.

Pros
  • AirSpeed suspension keeps the weight of the backpack on the back for comfortable carrying with high ventilation
Cons
  • Crinkled fabric

Updated waist belt is DISASTER

This is the fourth (maybe fifth) Osprey Exos I've bought since the original model. It has gone through at least 3 revisions and the waist belt on this new model is a disaster. It's bad enough that they removed the waistbelt pockets, but I could live with that. When I received it and tried it on, I immediately realized that they MUST have removed the lap belt pockets because they shortened the lap belt wings. I have a 37" waist, 22" torso and have always worn an Osprey L (largest size), which is

Pros
  • Stretch mesh front pocket for quick storage of rain gear or extra clothing
Cons
  • Protection
