We bought these to replace regular household clippers you can get for $30 and last a year or two. These are very good quality scissors. The blades are easily interchangeable with blades that provide the desired length of cut, rather than relying on a cheap plastic clip on the guards that often pop out mid-cut like on cheap clippers. In a salon/barber shop they should last a long time with proper care. For home use, they will most likely be the last clippers you will ever need.

I love these things! Very hard wearing, mainly metal components which add a bit of weight. I haven't had any overheating issues as some other reviewers have mentioned, but I suspect it depends on how fast you cut your hair, how often you oil the blades, and also how long you use each attachment. I love how the blades actually cut all of the hair on each pass, unlike a couple of cheap clippers we've used for years that took a lot of passes and still missed hair. Highly recommended!
