We bought this to use as an outside door light for more impact at Christmas and Halloween. It works great but the only problem is that you have to set it up every time you turn it on for the first time because it goes into display mode. I wish you could customize it to stay in the mode you want. But other than that, the remote works very well and there are plenty of options to choose from. I bought this for my after party wedding reception and was very pleased with the brightness and mirror ball effect. It was left on for several hours during installation on the wedding day and then turned off until the party later that night. Eventually the plastic lens fell off (see photo) even though it was only used for a few hours. My theory is that the rotating lens loosened the screw holding it, but in this case I would consider it a defective element and I hope not all are like that.

Used it for my last New Years Eve party. Installed it in one of my downlights along with all the other ceiling lights in the basement. Great disco light, all the remote control buttons are great, car music kind of makes its own pattern but that's none of my business. The light has been used 3 times for several hours with no problems. The only thing is that the logo on it is peeling off, maybe from the heat of use. But it's nothing but sweltering heat. I bought this product on a whim to entertain my niece so I wasn't expecting much. However, this disco light worked very well! The light is very sensitive to the remote control and as long as the socket is not switched off (rather than using the remote to turn the light off) it remembers the last used settings.
