Best Baby Spoons We Tried

Of all the spoons we've bought, my child loves these the most. They are easy for parent and child to hold and he loves to chew on the spoon when teething. They've held up well so far, but if they get damaged by his teeth I'll definitely be buying more.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • I'm Pissed

Spoon for our furbaby

I bought these to mix our furbaby food with her medication. She has many physical and medical issues that impede rescue and she is one of those stubborn ones - doesn't like taking medication so I mix it with canned food and water so we can administer it with a syringe. These spoons are perfect for the job.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • No paint needed

BEST SPOONS EVER!: Tableware

We've tried a few spoons and these are the best! My baby has teeth now and they are soft when he occasionally bites. They have a slight curvature, so feeding a baby with a spoon is easier than with a straight spoon. Also, the slight curve helps hold food, which is good when he starts eating on his own. Seriously the best!

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • Style 90

Not ideal for new eaters

These are spoons. No need for a big long review. Would have given more stars but wasn't overly impressed with the ease with which thicker food comes off the spoon. The spoon has a large scoop that causes food to pool in the center of the spoon. It's fine if your baby is old enough to suckle from a spoon, but for a 4 month old eating for the first time I'm not impressed.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Great shape and texture

These beautiful spoons are no exception to the high quality I've come to expect from Oxo. The curved shape definitely helps and the spoon head is easy on my baby's gums and face (because babies are messy, as you know). No spoon is going to feel great until your child learns to eat a little better, but it's definitely an improvement over the smaller flat spoons I've had before. No stains or signs of wear so far.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • No

The best spoon far and wide. on dishes

I am a 66 year old young grandmother with many problems on my hands. Feeding my 8 month old granddaughter wasn't easy until I got these spoons. I've tried others that were soft for a baby but didn't work for my hand issues. They fit well in the hand and are comfortable for the baby's face. The silicone is very soft, which is good for teething. I would recommend these spoons to anyone whether they have hand problems or not.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Great for our 4.5 month old baby

As a first time mom I wasn't sure which spoons to buy for my baby when he started eating solid foods. After reviewing several products I decided to buy these based on the rating and they are great. My child eats them with ease and the color matches the description. The only minor negatives are that the spoon recess is a bit deep so sometimes she doesn't get all the food (but she never complains) and the handle doesn't fit well in my dishwasher bin. They're too thick, so I have to darn them…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Very expensive

Too deep spoon to start with

I haven't been able to use them yet. I tried it once and it didn't work. My son is just starting to eat solid food and the portion is too big for him. They might work when he's a little older, but they just don't work right now. We'll focus on the Gerber spoons later and try again. *** I upgraded it from 3 to 4 stars after using it more. We used to feed my son in the bouncer when he started because it was easier (we could put the bouncers on the island and feed him standing up. We were RIGHT…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Too stupid

The perfect spoon! Solid food

Our 9-month-old son has Down's Syndrome, so his oral motor skills are a bit retarded and his tongue sticks out a little. I am a child occupational therapist, so I know about nutritional issues. I needed a good spoon to inject solids and work on stimulating oral motility and this OXO spoon is amazing! I like the silicone coating that makes it comfortable to bite and chew. The spoon's bowl is deep enough to hold food, but not so deep that he can't close his lips. The size is perfect for a small…
