Wow! What a deal, this type of carbon lasts a long time and at a great price. Much better than anything I've bought from PET stores (insert any name). The price and quality can't be beat.

What about coal? It works and is great value for money. Use in sachets to remove the stench from anything: car, shoes, cupboards, drawers, etc. Also works great in the fridge. Also for aquariums. Great value for money.

Poor lab quality activated carbon as described. The label says "Made in China". It's unresponsive and doesn't look like the activated charcoal I've bought from other sources. It's like a coconut shell with minimal charring and minimal activation.

There would be a note on the packaging that the CHARCOAL MUST BE ACTIVATED IN THE SUNLIGHT. I use it to rid the air of cigarette smoke and was wondering why it wasn't working. I read online that activated charcoal needs to be activated in the sun for a few hours before it works as a deodorant. Now it works very well!
