Palmgren Review 2 " x 42 " Belt, 6 " Disc Finisher

Honestly 3 years of blade making experience and about 5 inexpensive grinders I've bought this is honestly the best Grinder I've used a word of warning, you have to be careful when you're good at working with the backs of your blades or it will just eat away at your blades if you're not careful It also uses a direct drive instead of a secondary drive belt for the power rotation of the belts.. Very convenient What makes it special is that you can put the lever in a horizontal position and use it…

Pros
  • Tools & Housewares
Cons
  • No Instructions

The Belt Sharpener is pretty good at making knives, but requires some modifications to improve it. Pros: 1) It's strong enough to apply some pressure without slowing down the band. that you can use the bottom wheel for concave chamfers. 3) is the price. Cons: 1) The platform is not flat, which really affects the flat bevel. I plan to weld a JB ceramic glass plate on top to get smoother bevels. 2) If you use the work table from the belt side, you need to remove it every time to change the belts.

Pros
  • Sharpeners
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Good but could be better

This is my first 2x42 grinder but here are some thoughts I have on it.1. Platform: Mine is not 100% flat. I finished some small 1.5" diameter parts, the center of the product didn't sand because the plate was slightly concave. I bought a steel plate and epoxy glued it to the existing surface and that solved the problem. The part plus shipping costs about $20. To me, that's the biggest problem this car has, and it's kind of ridiculous if you ask me. The whole point is that this surface is flat…
