Beware! These AAAs are only 1.2 volts!

When I saw this set of Panasonic batteries I decided to buy them because of the brand's reputation - for the most part. However, as soon as I opened the package, I noticed that each battery had a charge of no more than 1.2 volts. Instead of the 1.5V that every damn AAA has! For example when I tried to use them on my remote control I immediately got a warning light saying the batteries were low even though they were fully charged! Pros
  • No memory effect - batteries can be fully or partially discharged
Cons
  • Something different

This year I bought 8 packs of Eneloop aaa for my Black Diamond headlamp i go camping I camp 15-20 times a year and need batteries. I gather firewood in the dark, cook in the dark, and occasionally come back from hiking in the dark. They disappoint me as they usually last 3 nights or less and I've been using my 3 year old energizers for the last 5 nights! Eneloops should last longer, are newer and have a larger capacity of 800mAh compared to 700. Eneloop also has a detailed graphic on the back…

Pros
  • Remains up to 70% charge after 10 years (if not used)
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Since I first bought Eneloop

socket required. I bought 4 packs of AAA specifically for the lights that come on in my bathroom when motion is detected. After a week and a half you could hardly see anything in the light. I got tired of wasting time on regular batteries just because I didn't have enough batteries, so I bought more. I received them on…

Pros
  • I have not changed brands.
Cons
  • Factory pre-charged with solar power and ready to use.
