Images with this lens are very good in color and image quality

I bought this lens to replace a 12-60mm f/3.5 kit lens (which was actually a pretty decent lens) and have no regrets. Images taken with this lens are very good in terms of color and image quality. It's a bit bigger and heavier than the stock 12-60mm lens, but it's fine in combination with my Panasonic G9. I've also used it on a small camera and it's been fine, although some might say the front end gets a bit heavy.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

If you can only afford one lens, buy this one!

Many of the GH5's test videos used this lens, which prompted me to take a closer look when I ordered my GH5. Some YouTubers have said that if you can only buy one lens, this is the only lens to have. and they are not wrong. This is a stunning lens in person and works great. This is a great mid-range lens that's great for stills and video. I was able to take photos from the back of our room without too much trouble. If you want to do extreme close-ups or long distance shots/photos you definitely

Very good given the range coverage

To answer the question everyone is asking: f/2.8 at 12mm (drops to f/2.9 at 13mm), f/3.2 at 18mm, f/ 3.5 at 25mm, f/3.9 from 40mm to 50mm, f/4 from 51mm to 60mm. If you're looking for a quality universal zoom for your m43 camera, look no further. This lens excels at everything but 12mm angles. Again, it's okay if you pause for a bit. And if I didn't have a 12-35 f/2.8 lens to compare, I'd stop there. Having a 12-35/2.8 though, the comparison was inevitable and the 12-35 is slightly better…

  • One year trial

Excellent wide angle and medium telephoto and video lens

I bought this lens to shoot outdoor videos for my Youtube channel with my Panasonic Lumix G9. Thanks to its 12mm wide angle and effective 5x optical zoom, it is excellent for this use case. If you use ex. With the teleconv function of the latest Panasonic cameras, you can get an effective 7x lossless zoom for free. If, like me, you shoot landscapes and mainly static subjects, a camera with a high-resolution sensor shift mode can extend your range even further. corners. Don't expect perfectly…

One of my favorite 4/3 lenses from that time was the Olympus Zuiko.

I started using 4/3 system cameras before Micro 4/3 came out. One of my favorite 4/3 lenses from that time was the Olympus Zuiko 12-60mm f2.8-4.0 SWD. The 24-120 range (full-frame equivalent) is extremely handy, especially for travel. So I was curious to see if the new Panasonic Leica 12-60 f2.8-4 could close this gap for me again. I also used the excellent Olympus 12-40 f2.8 as well as the Panasonic 12-35 f2.8. The Olympus 12-40 is a great lens, but sometimes it's nice to have a little more…
