Fits more than once, but not always

If you build a bike or two a year (or ever), you don't need this tool. If you're building four to eight bikes a year, that really helps. If you're building more than a few wheels a month, consider a tool that plugs into your drill/screwdriver. If you are building more than a few wheels I would recommend this. If you make more than 8 wheels a year I would suggest a tool that connects to a drill/driver. The concept is the same - just manual or mechanical. Overall this is a great product! Just…

Pros
  • Cycling
Cons
  • Low repairability

I needed to fix one of my bike wheels and ordered one of these so I wouldn't have to spend the whole evening tightening the spoke nipples. Works great, is expensive, and the tube it comes in (flashyly marked "nipple drive") alone is worth the childish jokes that follow. After that I was at a local hardware store and saw the $6 Speed. Screwdriver which was essentially the same except for a small pin in the middle to keep it centered on the nipple. I think a few minutes with a rotary tool or…

Much faster than a screwdriver.

I don't build a lot of wheels, but this rider makes it faster and easier to get around. I just started using the driver a few weeks ago. My bike had two rear wheels. Identical except for the hub. Many flat spots on the rim have been repaired with a good hub. I didn't want to use another wheel as the hub had 3 problems in a year. All under guarantee, but no thanks. This is a good replacement part. I removed the rim and spokes from the good one with the old hub and put the good hub in the new rim
